We ate lunch here as our last stop before leaving Maui. What an pleasant finish! Our server, Anne, gracefully welcomed us and informed us of the ins and outs of the menu, specials, fresh caught Mahi all while pouring our water and kindly running through the intro a couple more times for some of us who were still tricking in. She really took care of us, even when there was a small mixup in a drink order she swiftly took care of it and made it more than right. The service was excellent! So was the food! We had the Kalua pork and pineapple and jalapeño pizza as well as the proletariat and then I got the keiki saimin (I ordered it for my daughter All of it was delicious. @mc_migz was on the mic literally creating tracks skillfully ranging from island reggae to Kendrick Lamar and Biggie covers! Such a chill vibe here. Highly highly recommend Monkey Pod food is 5/5, service is 5/5 and the ambience is a modern upscale place with a casual welcoming vibe 5/5. Come here before or after going to Makena State Park Beach and you 'll be happy you did!

I got the fish and chips and the lilikoi drink. The fish and chips were great watch out for the really spicy kimchee that comes with it though I gave that to one of my mom bosses. The lilikoi drink was strong and fruity, just the way I like it. The waiter (Tom) was really friendly and responded quickly when one of the children at our table was dissatisfied with her pizza we all appreciated how he rushed the fries out to her and she loved them! This was a very noisy restaurant, making it difficult for our noise sensitive child to enjoy the space. The live music was lovely but just made it more noisy. I would recommend sitting outside if you have noise concerns.

Came in without a reservation and waited. Only about 15 minutes. Sat at the bar and ordered a couple appetizers (taro ravioli and chicken wings) from the happy hour menu, which were both delicious.

The most amazing Mai Tai I have ever had in my life!!!! Food was very good too! So glad we discovered it and can't wait to go back!
