Montagna Café - Reserva de mesa

Today is our first visit here after visiting the nearby Wittunga Gardens. And what a find!! On a bus route, ample off-street parking, and wheelchair access. The dining area is spacious with ample comfortable seating. A line of sepia photos on one wall gives some idea of the local history. The menu tells us that we can come here all through the day – and eat all through the day! My wife and I come for our usual coffee and cake, and are delighted to find no less than ten delicious cakes on offer. Our mixed berry cheesecake comes with cream on the side, and is nicely presented for us to share as requested. My cappuccino is to order as well. The friendly waitress brings our order to the table. Don't go near Montagna's 'Big Breakfast' until they get rid of the kransky sausage. Everything else on the plate was perfectly fine! The kransky was inedible, certainly didn't fit flavour wise and dominated the plate. It was also a struggle to get a knife through it. Could still taste it on the palate hours later. A friend had the 'Vegetarian Big Breakfast' and loved it! In summary everything else was okay but the kransky killed the dish!

Being local we tend not to review our frequently visited cafes. We enjoy Montagna - the staff are always super friendly, the meals are generous and fresh. It has a casual atmosphere but the staff are professional and the kitchen in our experience has always run efficiently. Really good pizzas.

I had the entrée stuffed mushies and salad yesterday and they were ten out of ten. The salad also gorgeous and the size of the serve was SO generous. No way could I have eaten a main after that. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary deciding to "eat local " at our favourite eatery and treat 50 our nearest n dearest. Rae the Manageress was fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble - we had our own area

Nice spot with huge car park always helps. The coffee and the scrambled eggs this morning were good, better than many others who often make them too runny. Great service as well

The service here is always very friendly and helpful. The food is nice but not always consistent. Fairly extensive menu and wine list but could maybe be updated.

Just average with coffee and banana bread but up to par. Better options but far down the road at 1923 or the other way at B3.

We had a family dinner here a few weeks ago and can say we had a good experience and were not averse to go again.
