we came upon this place after finding a stray dog outside of Darby and inquired if they may have known who owned the dog. The people in the restaurant are way friendly and make amazing breakfasts and also amazing pastrami sandwiches. I though I was in a NYC deli. It was by far better than any sandwich I ever got In Missoula , Montana! It is a family owned place and in this day and age I do not think you can find a friendlier place anywhere. they also brewed my fresh decaf coffee . all this at an amazingly reasonable price, also put water outside for Toby the Dog! Yes, we did find the owner. If you are ever in Darby, this is the go to spot! Not fancy, but good
Nice little Cafe. Biscuits and gravy were stellar. Homemade biscuit was like it came out of a Montana campfire cast iron skillet. Dense, moist and a refreshing departure from an expected buttermilk biscuit. The gravy was thick, white, not overly seasoned, and peppered with pieces of fresh pork sausage. The sausage was amazing. Fresh ground pork with well balanced seasonings and no nitrate/artificial/preservative taste. The only disappointment, yet not worth a star downgrade, was that the hash browns were potato chunks, and not the shredded kind we were expecting. Overall a lovely place to stop on our daytrip to the Bitteroot Valley.

Top notch service that is friendly with really good food and satisfactory portions, the staff are respectful and courteous, I've read and heard complaints about how long it takes but, it's not a fast food joint, it's quality dining and it's pretty standardwaiting time and better than many establishments. The menu items aren't overpriced and I have yet to have a bad experience thereyet after eating there for over a year and a half. I tip them well and suggest you do too because they certainly earn it.

We genuinely enjoy visiting this place whenever we come to Darby! It's our favorite spot for breakfast. Everything on the menu is delicious and cooked to perfection. The prices are quite reasonable, and the service is excellent. Just remember, it’s a family-run restaurant, so don’t come expecting a quick meal; good food takes time!
I'd love to say it was great, but after being asked we we minded sitting at the counter since all tables were full (we didn't mind at all) we were given menus and patently ignored for 20 minutes. I understand a busy establishment, but to be completely disregarded was a bummer. We left and headed to Hamilton for breakfast.
We had a fantastic breakfast! One of us really enjoyed the Logger Scramble, which was loaded with meat—bacon, sausage, and ham—along with cheese and lots of thick, diced potatoes to share. I ordered scrambled eggs with sourdough bread, and we also shared some sliced tomatoes.
Excellent food and fantastic service. Huge portions. Pancake is 1 foot around!
