"Pros: beef brisket was very juicy and delicious. Cole slaw too. Desert station was also yummy. Price was fair $24. Cons: as in most of these buffets, most foods were a bit dry/not looking very fresh. Overall: fair deal, way better cost/benefit than Forest Buffet"

Montbleu used to be Caesar 's Tahoe when it was built. It is one of the 3 big casino hotel towers at the Stateline the Nevada town at the California Nevada border on Lake Tahoe and where gambling is legal. I have eaten at the buffets of each of these 3 casino hotels and The Buffet at Montbleu comes in at last place, at just okay. Harrah 's Forest Buffet can make for a phenomenal experience, located on the 18th floor of Harrah 's, and the food has been good each and every time I 've eaten there. It 's my favorite buffet on Tahoe 's south shore. I 've been to Harvey 's once, combining helping myself to smaller lobsters and observing one particular Good Friday. It was a solid value and the food...

My girlfriend and I were up in South Tahoe for some much needed R&R and wanted to drop into a local favorite, the buffet. Unsure of where to go, we asked some locals on the best casino buffets to check out and the Montbleu one supposedly stuck out. Who knows better than the locals on where to eat, so we decided to give it a try. There was a long line for the buffet but after about a 30 minute wait, we finally managed to score a table. All I have to say is, is that the recommendation couldn 't have been more wrong. The food at this buffet was gross, over-cooked, salt-licked ideas of what a good Vegas buffet is supposed to be. The Asian foods were the worst offenders with some dry, garbage sus...

One of the worse buffets...close to the worst buffet ever visited. We should have gotten a clue when there was absolutely no line...we walked straight to the counter on Saturday evening. 2nd clue attempted to pay the cashier asks, you don 't want to see the food first? When we heard our total of $73+ for 3 people, my husband actually felt confident that we 've chosen the right buffet for the price. We were sadly mistaken when we walked in to an almost empty dining room on a Saturday night. The food was even sadder than some cheap Chinese buffet. All they had to offer were low quality, dry meat overcooked vegetables. More than half of the desserts were sugar free. The sundae station toppings...

We had brunch here on a Sunday. They have the usual breakfast items and an omelet station. The omelet had several toppings to choose from with three eggs. I just wanted tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms. It was very good. The corn beef hash and hash browns are also delicious. I can't remember what we paid but I think it was a decent value.
