The BEST all around place in Montclair in terms of price, portion, taste and service. You honestly can’t beat this place. If you compare the prices at Montclair House Grill to anywhere else you will notice they are significantly lower and the best part? The food is amazing. They have everything! I have eaten as so many restaurants living in Montclair for years and I always come back here. It’s great for dine in, and pick up. They are consistently fresh, portions are big enough for two meals (for me). The staff is also super friendly, they paid for my breakfast bill on my birthday? This restaurant is fantastic with excellent service. Although we have only been getting takeout for the past few months, the food is well-cooked and delicious, and the staff is friendly. I must give a special shoutout to them for going above and beyond tonight. They accidentally left out an item from our order for pickup, but they called to apologize, remade the item, and delivered it to our house at no additional charge. I am truly thankful for the excellent service they provided.
Spectacular food. The service was amazing. My server was super attentive and she had heard that I had a headache and offered me some excedrin. That's top rated service. Absolutely loved the chicken soup and the philly cheesesteak panini. Definitely will stop by again before I leave town.
Very rude staff. Went in to ask about a location and the own who wasn’t wearing a mask decided to yell at me for not having one one; keep in mind that I wasn’t staying. A young lady had to chime in and help calm the situation down because of his unprofessionalism.

The owner Chris was fantastic - very helpful and insightful. The waiter Tracy was also amazing, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be returning.
What can I say about Montclair House Grill? First off. I absolutely recommend the balsamic chicken w/ either rice or mashed potatoes. *chefs kiss* delicious! But their service is always a delight. Very good service
The owner was so lovely, warm and welcoming. All of the staff were friendly. The meals were prepared quickly and efficiently. The food tasted delicious. My family had a wonderful experience.
Oh boy the burger was SO good! Service was excellent! They also made sure we were all safe and distanced comfortably. Please enjoy this nice place!
