I discovered it a couple of years ago during a quick search for an Italian restaurant in Southend. It's hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I've visited, either in the UK or Italy. Fabulous authentic Italian in Southchurch. The arancini is delightful and the perfect starter to share. The seafood linguine was full of fresh mussels, prawns and squid and the pasta was silky smooth. Great Plin agnolotti with lamb too. The coffee is also superb and we got wonderful friendly service. Absolutely incredible! We came here for our wedding anniversary dinner, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The authentic Italian food was fantastic, the staff were amazing, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We visited Monti’s this evening with our little boy. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, which was a nice start. The restaurant is overpriced for the service offered. We dined in for dinner and the price per person was between £60-70. The food and service both received a rating of 4, while the atmosphere was rated a 3.
The restaurant has had some new options added to its amazing menu. I also really like the new tables and decor. The service here is the best in town with great attention to detail.
