This is the best place in Jacksonville to get pizza. It's in a really cute part of town, Murry Hill. One thing I think is really cute that they do here is give kids dough to play with while they are waiting for food. It always helps my son since he's usually fussy when he's hungry. The pizzas are huge and always topped with mountains of fresh toppings. It's hard to get tables on the weekend. I do wish they had some sort of outdoor seating area on the side. They have a couple of flat screens that's always on ESPN. It's a great and friendly place.
My family and I love the relaxed atmosphere. The pesto pizza and gorgonzola salad is my favorite. The staff is very friendly and they come around and pick up your empty plates etc and refill your drinks. There is always artwork on the walls for sale. There are a couple of TV's in case you want to watch the Olympics or a game on TV. Sometimes it is hard to find a parking place, that is the only down side of Moon River. We have never had a bad experience here. I have recommended all my friends to go here and they love it also.
Moon River Pizza is nice and clean. The employees are friendly and they know their menu and are eager to help with your selections. The pesto pizza is awesome and so is the salad with feta cheese. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very inviting. They also have local artists work on the walls and it is for sale. My family and friends all love to eat here. Best pizza around.
