The staff at the restaurant were friendly. The vegetarian burger was delicious, but the fries served with it were fried too much. The chicken special dish came with cold, overcooked roasted potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding that was also overcooked. Overall, it was a disappointing experience considering the Morning Star was recommended to us. I'm not sure if it truly lives up to its reputation as a gastro pub.
Great evening in the bar. Just had soup, seafood chowder and their focaccia bread and we were happily stuffed. All the staff were attentive and friendly. Maggie’s Leap was one of the best IPA’s I have had. If I lived in Belfast this would be my regular bar so do stop in
