Mort's Deli Tarzana

10 stars for the Ruben!! The rye is delicious, loaded with meat! It was our first time here, and so I’m not sure if it’s just a lack of know-how in ordering, but the turkey sandwich only came with turkey and bread, no condiments. I added cheese and avocado, but there was no mayo or mustard and the man at the counter didn’t ask if I wanted to add anything. We took it to-go so I didn’t realize until we were opening the sandwiches that there was nothing else on it. Before leaving, the man at the counter did ask if we wanted sauce for the Ruben, and I’m glad he did, or we wouldn’t have had it for that either. Very friendly staff, quality meats and portions! I LOVE MORT'S DELI. It always reminds me of my grandma, who I love so much and we love going to Mort's and Bea's, which are physically connected so you can easily go to both places. We love the Matzo ball soup and the Matzo ball is generous. The atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in a small diner in NY, not like a bustling deli where you have to wait to be seated. Here you always have a seat and a friendly server who pays attention to you and lets you enjoy your delicious food. I prefer this type of atmosphere. I personally highly recommend Mort's; 10 out of 10, always hits the spot. Take someone you love to Mort's for some wonderful Jewish food. Thank you!

I drive up from La Jolla to Tarzana every six weeks or so to get my hair done, and almost every time I meet friends at Mort's for breakfast or lunch. Love the eggs and onions, cabbage soup and brisket sandwiches. But I never see Gary when I'm here; would like to say hi sometime to a fellow ex-Canarsien!

Just had breakfast here, very good. Nothing fancy, but clean facility and wonderful staff. Would recommend it to anyone. The deli looks fantastic wish I could come back for bowl of matzo or a Reuben. Reserva una mesa ahora

I grew up in Encino Tarzana area. Have been to Mort's since before I could remember. Mort used to be there and always said Hi to everyone. Best original deli ever.

This is a fantastic spot for bagels topped with lox, onions, and tomatoes. Everything was delicious, and the tomatoes were particularly fresh and flavorful.

Great food. Very cool home town vibe. When you go ask to have Laura as your server. Very nice lady. She will make your visit special.
