Mosquito Beach Plage Privee

Came off the beach for a cold beer and a simple snack. Queue at the bar with little regard to social distancing. Short list of simple snacks, mainly sandwiches and salads, (some of which had run out around 1300 and were not being replenished. Quality OK for what it was , prices again OK for the beach but too high for the ambience of the place. Putting up a fence does not make it a private beach! No draught beer, only cans. Result: we wouldn 't return here or to this part of the Marseillan beach, where it is really the only option. This place is in a great location, and the owners are missing an opportunity.

We went there for the decks. Two days before we had phoned to find out if we could book, we were told no, there will be room for a Monday without meaning that booking adds 4 extra€. We phoned this morning, we had another person on the phone who told us I don't know, the best is to book and the price is 15€ instead of 11€ a half day to book. We went there and there were lots of decks available. We paid 11€ and not 15€. We had a very good time like last year.

The staff were off-handed. The one toilet was out of order with no explanation or advice as to the location of another. They kept selling drinks when there were no toilet facilities close by. No one collected the empty bottles. The food offering was very skimpy. It was “cash only”.

New this year I think nicely located just off the promenade with their own boardwalk from the beach. Bit on the pricey side for sunbeds we were on a boat so didn't bother but the whole place is a nice upmarket touch
