Thought I came here expecting vietnamese style sandwiches. Man I was so wrong. Ordered a turkey sandwich baguette. I was looking forward to those things that defined vietnamese sandwiches: cilantro, pickled daikon and carrots, thin slices of meat, some jalapeño pepper. NON of these. Instead, I got continental american: lettuce, little tomato, and THICK SALTY turkey cold cuts, mayo. That’s it.If you’re expecting vietnamese style baguette, DO NOT GO THERE.
Mr. Baguette, I love you not only for your bánh mì but for your fusion touches. *chefs kiss*My sister loves the Saigon bacon and can you ever go wrong with the grilled pork? But game-changing for me is the ham lua, esp for this viet-food traditionalist who usually just gets chả lụa and pâté. It just adds another note of umami I didn’t know I needed.Also, breakfast bánh mì with pâté, ham, egg, and cheese? Say less. ?
The food is very good but the last two visits I was greeted by the same person Phuong. She is rude, and was rushing me on my order the entire time. Again the food is great but on my way out I asked for the Keys to the bathroom and she tossed the over to me, I’m not sure if she was having a rough day but I’ve had a bad experience with her twice now. FYI to the owners
The sandwich for its price was a really good deal. The bread was nice and fresh, the jalapeños spicy, and the meat had plenty of flavor.The restaurant itself is run down and is kind of gross, and the drinks are kind of a ripoff (60% ice? This restaurant is located in Momte. The food is good, although the atmosphere could be improved—it's a bit lacking but still calm. Parking is limited, but I find the prices reasonable. Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible.
Always a decent place to get some banh mi and coffee. Staff is always nice and patient every time I go there. It provides my occasional breakfast and lunch, and it's satisfying.
