(2 flights of stairs to walk up- it's located next to On Deck on the main street of Fish Creek They have wine and beer- lots of Wisconsin brews. The cuisine is eclectic with Thai/Asian influences. We ordered the Thai spinach soup, Bang Bang Chicken, and Squash Curry. All were excellent! My only comment is that everything was quite spicy. Mr. Helsinki's is a reliable dining choice in Door County. They boast an impressive wine selection, and their bang bang chicken is a crowd favorite—truly delicious! During our recent visit, the manager, who might also be the owner, warmly greeted us and was attentive to the guests' needs. While the service has generally been good, there are times when it can fall short. I wish they had more offerings, such as a cheese board that pairs well with their wines. About halfway through dinner, my husband suggested that if I saved some room, we could share a dessert. I promptly put my fork down and requested a takeout box for the other half of my meal. We decided to share a bananas foster crepe for dessert, which was delightful. It came drizzled with rich chocolate sauce and topped with bananas and a delicious original bananas foster sauce that was buttery and warm with caramel and other wonderful flavors.

What a hidden gem! I would have never guessed this wine bar above a store front would serve a few of the best dishes I have ever had. The spinach soup is velvety and tastes like a dream, teasing your tastebuds with flavors you would never expect. Followed by an Ahi Tuna dish that was cooked to perfection. There seems to be an Asian influence in their dishes, which is a nice twist to traditional fine dining. A MUST try is the Fiddletown Zinfandel! By far the best wine recommendation to date. I consider myself a world-traveling foodie who has dined at some of the finest... and, Mr. Helsinki's ranks at the top!

Mr. Helsinki offered a wonderful experience in Door County. I ordered the Thai soup mussels, a Caesar salad burger, and the squash curry, all of which were delicious. The bread that came before the meal was exceptional, and the flavors of each dish were spot on. For dessert, we had bananas foster, which was delightful. The lack of air conditioning made the temperature a bit warm, but the overall ambiance was lovely. The restaurant was busy, yet the noise level was manageable. The servers were attentive, and I only found myself out of water near the end of our meal. I would certainly return.
You would never guess that this gem is hidden above a general store. We've been going there since it first opened and the food is consistent, fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the bang bang chicken. I've traveled around the world for business and this is easily one of the best dishes I've had. Save room for the bananas foster for dessert. This dish puts the ones in New Orleans to shame. Take that, Brennan's! Tonight we were treated with a fresh caprese salad that included home grown tomatoes that were just lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the peninsula.
Nice dinner spot in Fish Creek. It's called a wine bar. However, the selection of wines by the glass was limited and not terribly unique (with a high markup). The interior is quaint, if a little dated. No outdoor seating. Our server was friendly and attentive. My companion ordered the Korean meatballs, I had the bang bang chicken. Both were decent. My chicken was very spicy. The chef (and I believe owner) stopped by to check on us. Overall, a pleasant date night destination. The guitarist from the Talking Heads was dining there the night we were there!
My husband and I went here for dinner on Mother's day. First one away from the kids and he wanted something special for me. Mr. Helsinki was perfection start to finish. We started with mussels that were in a light cream sauce with just a hint of spice. Delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had beef. Perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. Christina was our server and she was perfect as well. Mr Helsinki's is small and during high season you may have to wait for a table but absolutely worth the wait!

We have not been here in a few years but it always has great food. It is a great place for a date. Less of a good place for kids but they never turned us away. Fantastic food for all the foodies too.
