Mr India Restaurant

My family and I have been going to Mr India at Old Reynella for a few years. It honestly is the best Indian we have found in the Southern suburbs of Adelaide. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. our favourite mains are the Chicken Biryani and Lamb Madras, both meals have beautiful flavours and are always cooked to perfection. I like that anything that is deep fried is not dripping in oil, try their samosas! Their naan bread is a must and great to soak up all those lovely left over sauces. I love the amazingly friendly staff who are always so eager to help us have a wonderful night. The cost of eating here is similar to other Indian restaurants in the area, however the portion...

Indian food is difficult to enjoy in Adelaide, because as a general rule, with some Internet searching, some spice purchases and time, you can make meals that beat most restaurants.Mr India doesn't suffer from this problem.With a table that included picky adults, selective vegetarians and narrow taste ranged teens, Mr India left us all satisfied.The entrees were standard fare but made well, the mains provided enough subtlety to defeat my own home cooking, and the naan was the stand out.Tried 4 different types, and all were great.The only negative from my perspective was what I thought was a slightly bland mixed Dahl, but the one who actually ordered it loved it.Wrap all this up with well bal...

Whilst visiting Adelaide we celebrated dinner with friends and opted for Mr India. We were greeted to a quiet restaurant, at about half capacity at the peak of the festive season.The food was good, it featured some great Indian flavours and scents.Unfortunately our experience was let down by poor service. This included one particular Indian waitress who was not familiar with the menu and lacked attentiveness with our group. When we managed to attract her attention for another round of drinks, it was another 10 minutes before they arrived. My 13 year old wanted Indian food for her birthday dinner with extended family. Came across this gem of an Indian restaurant at Reynella which was convenient for all the family ( we travelled the furtherest!) .We were seated in the function room area which gave us room and privacy without taking away the ambiance of the place. The decor was brilliant and we really felt it was a special place to celebrate. The food was lovely , maybe slightly over- priced , but the serves were generous and we even took doggy bags home. Staff were friendly, always smiling and accommodating of our requests. All the family (20 of us) loved this place and we will return. Thank you for a lovely evening, a birthday... Starting with the friendly ordering to the eating... this was the best Indian take-away we have ever had. I had the Tandoori-Chicken and didn't think you could do anything special with it, but what ever they put on it way fabulous. Hubby had a fish curry and loved it. Can't comment on the restaurant itself, but if he take-away service is anything to go by, you can't go wrong :-)

These folk are a no nonsense, comfortable, delicious, attentive without hovering and very reasonably priced. Don't miss this experience, no nonsense does not mean distasteful or gawdy, quite the contrary. This is one of those hidden gems? The open fire on cooler nights is a nice touch too. Don't take idiots here, it will spoil it.

A birthday celebration at our favourite Indian restaurant for six: We chose the banquet and were not disappointed. We were told we could ask for more of anything but we did not need to as the serving sizes were appropriate. Tasty but not too spicy for the guests.

This restaurant has a wonderful ambience eith its tradional style furnishings, the menu was comprehensive and the staff were more happy to make alterstions ( in my case more chilli)the meal had by all all was delicious and fresh. Reserva una mesa ahora

We were happy to return to Mr India after many pleasant experiences in the past. We were not disappointed this time with our favourite Banquet. We were even able to take some leftovers home!

Very friendly staff. We had a couple of entrees and mains. All were good. Pretty safe Indian restaurant with heat of dishes not too much, so ask for extra heat if you like it spicy.
