Mr. Mack's Island Grill

Small little joint on Okeechobee. Food was decent and portions were big. Service is a little slow. There are a few tables and chairs inside and a couple outside facing Okeechobee boulevard. I had the oxtail with coleslaw and rice. Some of the other dishes we had were barbecue chicken and curried shrimp. The oxtail was very tender but a little fatty for my taste. The sauce on the curry shrimp was quite delicious but the shrimp themselves were lacking. As for the barbecue chicken, it was a little dry but had some nice seasoning. The large portions can be shared with two or more people.

It's gotta be that I came on a night the chef who generates all these 5 star reviews was off. The macaroni had an odd tangy taste. I had brown stew chicken...it was just ok. Way more browning than seasoning unfortunately, but it wasn't bad. The peas and rice had no taste. Might as well had ordered white rice. We picked this place bcuz those pics with the white plates make it seem like a nice spot to dine in, but that's also a no. Staff are friendly, the festival was good but I'd go to Bob Marley's before I come back.

When I say this food is good, I mean it's more than good. I want to thank the cook, man, you put your foot in this food, as the Jamaican proverbs would say. If you visit West Palm Beach, make sure you find this place. First buying, and I am over my heels. Highly recommended. I am not paid to right this; I have experienced this for myself I'm staying at the Hampton Inn because my flight on Delta Airlines was canceled. The place to spend your money is right here.

This restaurant serves one of if not the best stewed chicken I've ever had. As a chef and a foodie I can't compliment this food enough. The chicken was fall off the bone delicious with just enough heat to make my mouth water the Mac n cheese was perfect the potato salad was delicious and the red beans and rice was cooked to perfection. If you like Caribbean cuisine this place will knock your taste buds out cold. My new go-to place for Caribbean cuisine. Reserva una mesa ahora

I have had Jamaican food before, but Mr Mack’s is THE BEST Jamaican food I have ever had. This was my first time here and they blow away everyone else. The food is AMAZING and they are so nice! I highly recommend going here. The brown stew chicken is awesome and by bf always gets the ox tail and it is great. You will thank me later! !!!! I would take a picture of my good but it is half devoured already!!

This place has the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had! I highly recommend their brown stew chicken. It is out of this world. I’ve had it before and nothing beats this place. This was my first time here and it will not be my last period food is definitely craveable!! the people that work here are super nice and very accommodating.

Delicious! Got the j chicken... Probably should have got the regular because the spicy was SPICY, but still enjoyable! The lady was very sweet and friendly with a beautiful smile! The homemade rum cake was so moist! I definitely recommend this joint and will go back the next time I'm in WPB!Food: 5/5

Met a nice Jamaican lady at Home Depot and started talking about Jerk chicken ! Food, my favorite chatter. She says she always goes tonMr Mack’s so off I went. Thanks heavens I did. Delicious chicken and their rice and great Cole slaw. Plantains ok. Also rent a drum

Better tasting Jamaican food elsewhere. The curry chicken was fine. Rice and peas were fine as well. The Mac and cheese was not edible. Looked like something out of a box and tasted like it was going bad.
