CarMichael Pugliese, maybe you are mistaken this restaurant/subshop for the low-quality food you typically find at 7 Eleven or Subway. I am originally from Elizabeth and have visited this place multiple times over the years for their fresh subs. I have never had any issues with the staff or the freshly prepared subs. It has been a while since I last visited due to moving out of state, but I am planning on going back the week of October 18th. I am willing to drive 3.5 hours from New York to enjoy the fresh food and great service that I always experienced there. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly lady at the register, I then walked over to the order here sign where an older man was standing, not busy whatsoever while another lady was making the sandwiches, and he seemed very disinterested and not willing to say hi or even take my order. So I asked if this is where I order and was ignored. So I then just stated my order and he said “well get it for you”. I then watched two other people walk in and get their food in less than 10 minutes before I walked out 20 minutes later food still not ready, and I was not going to give this place my money. Not sure what this guys deal is. All low ratings mention the owner and his attitude.

As soon as I walked into MR. Sub I felt like it was going to be like a Jersey Mike's, but the service was so unlike an assembly line you just know the food was going to be a step above. The sandwiches were excellent with prices that are equally as good. The menu is extensive with many different choices (I plan on trying them all) stop by and see Joe he and his crew will set ya up with heaven on sandwich. What ever one you choose you can't go wrong.

This is the best sub shop in Union County, for sure. Delicious fresh cold cuts, piled high, fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, and salt/pepper/oil/vinegar perfection! Friendly service, nice seating area. Had no idea that a half a sub is enough sandwich for two people, so we have another lunch for tomorrow. Highly recommend! Reserva una mesa ahora

The staff is friendly, the menu has a great variety of choices, and the deli meats are freshly cut. Overall, this place has the best subs in town.
