Mr. Sushi Pompton Lakes

My wife and I are very easy going having to be in the restaurant industry ourselves. Both being server and bartenders, and I have to say this was one of the most disappointing visits we’ve have had in a long time. Food came out in a timely manner, however smelled awful and fishy smell. The server never checked on us to see if the food came out correctly and to our liking. We were finished eating for about 15 mins when I asked our server for a box and the check I was told “sorry I clocked out already the other girl will help you”. I ordered on Saturday night. I was excited to because I love sushi. My fried rice was over cooked and burnt. My son and I couldn’t even eat it from the overwhelming smell of burnt rice. The sushi rolls I’m guessing was made from the same overcooked rice. I will stick to my usual place going forward.

The food here is delicious. The service is ok but not great. I didn't get my appetizer until I already had my entree on the table. They have no liquor license so no hot saki. I will continue to eat here because the food was quite good.

Specialty rolls were interesting and tasty. The sashimi was a little small but fresh and delicious. Overall it was a really nice dinner and the wait staff was very attentive!!

Sushi was tasty I had spicy crunchy tuna with mango. Theade it special little extra charge but worth it. Delicious
