I'mma let the pics show you what I'm talking about! I tried the location on Fort Street last year and my complaint was the wings were small very small so this time I used door dash (which I shouldn't have this time because they had crappy service this time) to order from the Jefferson location hoping and praying it was better. I've seen pics from a fellow Yelper that I also follow on Instagram and his food always look delicious and he don't get little pieces of chicken. We usually get this food from the LP location, and will do that from now on. We were very busy so I tried delivery, and it was VERY late. Over an hour! After I called, they brought it and the gentleman said I 'm sorry, we just got the order 15 minutes ago. I could accept that technology doesn 't always work, but if that is true, why did the restaurant tell me it had been ready but there was no driver? More importantly, why was all the food cold? If it was only made for 15 minutes, wouldn 't it be hot? I asked for sauce on the side, but it was all over the now soggy (and small) wings, with no way to re crisp them. We also ordered our favorite mega tray to take home, which included chicken legs and thighs with fries. Their prices are about half of what you'd pay at larger chain restaurants. One friend had three boneless chicken breasts with fries for only $5, and it was fantastic! Plus, the lunch special comes with bread and coleslaw as well. They offer a dozen kinds of fresh fish, all deep-fried to perfection. Additionally, I found them to be unwelcoming towards the LGBTQ+ community. After the order issue, they called me back and tried to blame the delivery person for the delay, but the restaurant took my order. The staff repeatedly referred to me as “sir,” even after I explained that I’m transgender and they should refer to me with female pronouns, as their driver was a woman. They then offered me free food for the mistake but insisted I had to pay for half of it. Eventually, they informed me that they were no longer serving food. Overall, a very disappointing experience. The service here is exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered whole wings and fries, and they had my meal ready in under 20 minutes. Overall, it's an incredible place that I highly recommend!
