All I needed was blues and zydeco. This dive gives down-home vibes. The staff was absolutely a fine example of southern hospitality. I had the turkey it was moist and tasty, potato salad was good, and coleslaw. The only problem was dry coleslaw. The banana pudding was good to go. The bees' knees for me were the diversity of the customers and how the staff came out randomly to just talk with the customers to see how folk were doing in general. Love the owners and the food! My family ran into Ricky and his family one Sunday at the nearby DQ and he invited us to try out his place when it was open later in the week and we definitely had to take him up on it. We weren't in the line for too terribly long. There were loads of to go orders shortly after they opened, and I could smell why that mesquite is just beckoning. I ordered a couple of pounds of brisket and sausage for us as well as the green beans since it makes more sense for all of us to do it family style.
