Stopped here for some lunch. Menu was tattered looking and a lot of Chinese meals which seemed a bit strange for the premises. Tried to play it safe with fish and chips. The batter was awful, very stodgy and almost a bread like consistency. Got the child carbonara which was very greasy, almost as though it was just pasta covered in melted cheese? Salad was not fresh and looked like the Tesco's basic salad that comes in the bag. Never been here before and Murphy’s was a fantastic surprise. Food was terrific fresh and delicious. Staff were first class and knowledgeable. Great choices, and service was quick but not rushed which added to the experience. They have fabulous amenities especially for the children and the child in us adults. There are the Fairy gardens with the fairy doors with the wish or love chair great fun. The railway track that goes nowhere the beer garden and most importantly the animals, geese ducks pigs dogs ponies donkey lamas and emus, phew. Do not go past or near Murphy’s without stopping off as you will not be disappointed
This restaurant has changed hands and it is obvious. It used to be very good but not so today. There is a different atmosphere, it seems more noisy and less clean. We asked for noodles instead of chips with the children's meal and we were charged extra for the noodles. We were also charged 5.95 for kids meals that were 4.95 on the menu. Menu is changed, mostly Chinese now. Our bill was €93 , usually its €66 -70 in a restaurant for the family for mains and maybe 2 pints and a wine. Won't be rushing back, definitely not the same ac it used to be unfortunately

I used to go here a few years ago when it was a good restraunt. However after recently going I'd never go back. They have opened a Chinese carry out next door and to be honest there is no difference between the sit in and the carry out. The food was ok for a Chinese but not to class itself as a restraunt. It's not and the rowdy youths at the bar who looked below the legal age didn't help my confidence that it kept to covid guidance
Had an excellent meal here on Saturday night. Best stir fried vegetables and champ that we have ever tasted would go back for those alone. Salted chilli chicken and chicken wings for starters were fantastic, and followed by equally amazing steaks cooked to perfection. Good size portions. Whilst the place was constantly busy, the staff and service was first class. First visit and certainly wont be the last.
A gorgeous, homely and traditional pub full of nooks and crannies. Great food and good service from friendly staff. Excellent play facilities for kids in the beer garden. A very family friendly pub with great food and generous portion sizes
First night here since Lockdown began! Beautiful Meal, we both had Salmon in the Restaurant and it was delicious! sat at The Fire, it was relaxing and well spaced out from other Diners. Large Beer Garden to the Rear,

Our family regularly goes here and the food is brilliant. All of the staff is very nice and accommodating as well
