Murphy’s Lockside Pub & Patio

New to town so my husband and I decided to try this place out. Great spot right alongside the locks. Patio was packed. Menu was very small. I had planned on getting a steak but they didn't offer any. Decided on the Caesar salad with shrimp. It was 14.95 for the salad and 4.50 for the shrimp. Salad was terrible for the price. They advertised a home made dressing. The salad was very soggy like it had been sitting made for quite some time. There was black lettuce all through it. I set that aside on a side plate as I was eating it. The dressing was not tasty at all. Just tasted like watered down Caesar dressing from a bottle. There was next to no bacon in it. I did however find a few bacon bits...

We decided to get out of town and drive up to Fenelon Falls for lunch. We usually go to Murphy's as it has never disappointed us in the past and as usual it delivered. We had appetizers of pakora,Mediterranean flatbread and a unique mixture of Asian and Irish influences, being a Spring roll wrap with a filling of corned beef and cabbage.We finished off with sticky toffee pud and a cup of coffee. Good service from a charming young lady who found us a larger table with comfier seats and all in all, worth the drive.

My husband and I enjoy going to Murphy's for dinner when we want a night off cooking at home. The service is generally very good and we enjoy the food. We enjoy the casual atmosphere especially when the weather is warm and the garage doors are up and we can take advantage of sitting out on the patio. One of my favourite dishes is the chicken curry and my husband enjoys the burgers.

My brother had burger he enjoyed. I had a salad and garlic bread with cheese and fries with a curry dip. Salad was a plain green salad. A little uninteresting but the dressing was nice. Cheese bread was skimpy.^the food was well prepared and hot the beer was cold. Waitress was efficient and friendly. Atmosphere was typical for an Irish Pub. Reserva una mesa ahora

You cannot beat sitting on the patio on a summer day overlooking the river. The service was very slow but the view meant it did not matter.When the food came there were copious amounts but it was at best fair. It lacked flavour and was barely warm.

Found the food delicious however the service was rather slow. Nevertheless will go again. It was an open eatery with a great view of the locks and the boats that go up and down the Trent Severn Waterway.

Murphy's is a great place to unwind and relax. Great food, great service. The patio situated across from the locks is great. Good for Family, Friends, Business. You name it this is the place for you.

Restaurant is cozy country feeling on the water. Food was good . Waitress was a little slow at getting around while the place wasn't overly busy at that time

We ate dinner here two days ago and it was delicious. The entertainment was nice and the views were lovely. Highly recommend it.
