Despite not being the best value for ramen in town, Muso offers a solid and chewy dining experience with a unique vibe and convenient operating hours. It may just become your go-to spot in the story of your life. I visited Muso late one night after work to explore the ramen scene on the Gold Coast. Despite the closing time of 10pm, there were still tables available when I arrived at 9:30pm, a good sign of the quality of the food and the establishment. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with seating for up to 30 people inside and a small outdoor area. Western music posters and graffiti-style art give it a youthful and non-traditional feel, enhanced by the rock and heavy metal music playi...
Without a doubt, this is one of the top ramen spots in Australia. I have been coming here for three years now. The soup and noodles are all made fresh in-house. The atmosphere in the restaurant is fantastic. My personal favorite is the spicy miso ramen, which I usually pair with a few sides. This is definitely my go-to spot and one of my favorites. The only drawback is that there is always a wait!
We have often waxed lyrical about the excellent ramen at Muso Ramen, but somehow have not updated the blog entry on it since a visit years ago, not long after it opened. Given that we often refer to it, holding it as a benchmark standard for ramen deliciousness, and that it has had a renovation and expansion since then, a new post has been long overdue.
This ramen and gyoza bar in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast is definitely frequented by the local Japanese so I had a feeling it would be a good place. I enjoyed Muso Ramen so much. Loved my Tonkotsu Spicy Miso, I should have gone with level 3. Hubby’s Tonkontsu Original was alright. Friends had Tonkotsu Black Soy, Braised Pork Rice Bowl and Chicken Karaage. Broth was strong but not too thick (which I dont like). I’d definitely go back again next time we visit GC.

This no-frills restaurant offers only two dishes on their menu: various types of ramen and gyoza, all made in-house. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavorful tonkotsu miso broth and delicious noodles. The staff was extremely friendly and our food was served promptly.
