I absolutely adore this place! It makes me want to move to Berkeley! I ordered the iced lemon blossom latte with oat milk, and it was delicious—not too sweet at all! The outdoor seating area is exceptionally charming, and there's a lovely older Asian woman who takes your order and remembers your name. You can tell she was quite the character in her younger days; her personality is vibrant and delightful, with just the right mix of playfulness and sass. I think she might be the owner, and honestly, I wish she could be my aunt or grandma!
This is my favorite cafe in Berkeley: the quality of their beans are superb and they take the care and patience to make a perfectly crafted cup on every visit. To top it off Angela and Christine are both really friendly making going here a favorite retreat for me during the pandemic.Sadly, I don’t live nearby anymore so I haven’t been in a while but I look forward to going back someday.
The regular lattes were enjoyable. However, the matcha was quite intense in flavor and had a slightly gritty texture. The cheese on the ham and cheese Danish resembled a mix between American cheese and nacho cheese, which wasn't particularly appealing. As for the fruit on the warmed Danish, it also left something to be desired.
This charming little coffee shop offers a cozy ambiance and excellent service. The staff are friendly, and the tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for conversations or getting some work done. This is probably my favorite coffee shop in Berkeley, although I wish they were open on Tuesdays. Their cream soda with espresso is both refreshing and delicious—I'm not sure where else you can find it. It's a lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee, and the staff is always incredibly friendly.
It is an absolute blessing to live down the street from MY coffee! The atmosphere is great, the wifi is fast, and the drinks are amazing. Christine knew my name after I had been there twice, and I ended up writing my entire dissertation there. I would give it 10 stars if I could ?
