During my latest visit with a friend, we witnessed an incredibly disappointing experience. We arrived on a calm weekday evening around 7:30 PM. As we walked in, the staff acknowledged us, and I gestured that we were a party of two. Each staff member pointed us in different directions to sit at a table. I chose the closest table. Shortly after, a server—let’s call her Server A—brought us paper menus and asked if ice water was fine, carelessly tossing the napkin, chopsticks, and spoon onto the table instead of placing them down gently. My friend joined shortly after, and then Server B—who seemed completely disengaged—came over to take our order. We had barely been seated for five minutes when...

Myung dong is easily one of my favorite places to come for soondubu tofu soup. Their food is very much so a home made feel and taste as compared to some of the other bigger tofu chains (BCD and Youngdong). The food is absolutely the best on a cold winter evening. Galbi portions are fantastic and always comes out sizzling hot. Despite the homemade feel of the place, the service can be somewhat lacking. They bring a variety of banchan but they don 't ever offer to refill unless you ask outright. Additionally, they also seem to rush you when you eat. No later than 5-7 minutes after the last dish is dropped off at the table, they also drop the check off as well. They continue to check up on the...

Parking can be quite challenging here, so it’s best to arrive early if you want to dine in this plaza. The banchan includes kimchi, bean sprouts, seaweed, spicy cucumber, and fish cake, and you can request more once you finish. I ordered the mushroom tofu soup with mild spice to enhance the flavor, as the regular version can be a bit too light. The seafood pancake is packed with chunks of seafood—definitely a must-try, and be sure to enjoy it while it’s hot with dipping sauce! The spicy chicken bibimbap is also quite good, and the portion size is decent. The food is served quickly and generally comes out at the same time. I would recommend this spot if you're in the area and craving Korean c...

Food was delicious! We had bulgogi, beef short ribs, seafood pancake, and hot stone bimbimbap. All items except appetizers are combined with a bowl of hot tofu soup. Mild spicy is better than no spice if you want any flavor, and it is not hot at all. The banchan was awesome ?. They serve purple steamed rice, which made our teens smile. The only soft drinks available were canned Coke and 7-Up, and we were served water when we sat down. Service, seating, and tableware were basic. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall and we easily found parking on a Saturday at lunchtime. Reserva una mesa ahora

I had the worst service at this restaurant. We arrived at 2:30 PM, and the first thing the server told us was that they close at 3:00 PM. I acknowledged that, but she was impatient and had an attitude throughout our visit. She handed us the bill at 2:50 PM and never offered us any water. We were even rushed to place our orders as soon as we sat down! I had recommended this place to my friend because I thought the food was good, but the poor service really overshadowed the meal. It was very disappointing.

My favorite local place to get Korean tofu soup! I usually get the galbi combo, which comes with a small tofu soup, galbi, and purple rice. Their banchan usually has 5 dishes on rotation with a potato radish pancake. Their hour of operation really varies depending on how busy they are, so I would call before coming here just to make sure they are actually open.

This restaurant is pretty typical for a tofu house in the area. The food was better than average, and the side dishes were decent. However, I found it a bit challenging to get the attention of the servers during my visit, as they seemed primarily focused on their Korean customers. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 4 out of 5.

This place feels so homely and the food is delicious! It’s some of the best Korean cuisine I’ve ever had. I always look forward to visiting whenever I’m in Walnut. The pork soondubu has a wonderfully clear broth, and the galbi is absolutely incredible. Rating: 5/5 for the food! Reserva una mesa ahora
