I adore the opportunity to experience a different place through their food, and this was such a good example of that. Na Zdrowie is a lovely little restaurant that has 'comfort food ' written all over it. We were seated right away and given menus..... Everything looked amazing! After careful deliberation, we decided on pickled herring in sour cream and dill with rye bread for an entree. It was delicious and definitely had a traditional feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed a plate of fried sauerkraut pierogi (dumplings in mushroom sauce with a side of fresh cucumbers in dill. Came here expecting delicious traditional Polish food i wasnt disappointed! I went with a group of friends which meant we could order a good selection off the menu. Being Polish i know what good home cooked Polish food taste like and it wasnt as good as my Mums but it was very close : Every dish was packed full of flavour. The atmosphere staff were so very pleasant and hospitable. Warm cosy vibe, cocktails vodka liquor very yummy. Very good service, food came out without much wait.

Traditional barn house interior that looks straight out of Poland. The staff are extremely friendly and all speak Polish.<br/ <br/ The food is traditional, rich and delicious. expect lots of carbs and lard. Potato pancakes, pork schnitzel, potato dumplings, regular dumplings, pork lard spread with traditional cured meats. Can't forget that deep fried cheese! Been visiting Na Zdrowie now for years for their polish food. I love the meat platter and the Serek fried camembert. They do a fantastic Pierogi Golabki and I love the Bigos here, although different to my grandma's recipe, its still delicious and hearty. No matter what you order I highly recommend sides. Rye is a minimum but I also love the cream cucumbers, beetroot and horseradish. Vibe here is homely and casual and the staff are just great. Huge range of beers.
I got some good hearty food here, smoked meats or good chicken breast all with things like potato or dumplings, so they were hearty meals despite the high prices. They did seem rather bland though in comparison to the food I had at Alchemy (it's been a long time since I went to Poland but I remember some things like soups being very flavoursome). For straight up meat and potatoes, places like Tommy's up the road are better value.
The pork loin stuffed with prunes is my favourite! I get it each time I go here, I love it. Cute, cosy restaurant with traditional Polish decor (and lots of interesting little things on display to look at). It is very small and unfortunately the tables are way too close together (that is my only complaint).

Our second visit to this place and we have enjoyed it again. The food is excellent , great choice of polish beers and spirits, you’d have trouble trying them all.Cosey atmosphere and pleasant surroundings.. The waiters we ran off their feet ,part of a polish experience.
Great little polish gem in Glebe. Intimate atmosphere combined with great tastes and a traditional menu.<br/ <br/ Give it a go and you will not be disappointed!
