Nando's Stroud Green

I ordered a takeaway from this restaurant only to find when we got home they gave us the wrong order. Fuming, I called them up notified them of the mistake. They told me when I order the next time it would be complimentary, I accepted. 3 weeks later we ordered the same thing by phone. I explained the situation was told to mention it upon arrival. When I arrived the food wasn't ready, the manager was called and informed me I had to wait 20 minutes. Half an hour later still no food. I walked to the desk to enquire what the hold up was, only to find out by a lovely young man (Matelan) that my order was just sitting there. The only positive aspect of this Nando's restaurant is the staff, who may not be the most attentive but are still respectable. The service lacks a smile, but it is present. I have been to this Nando's several times, and only once has my food arrived at the same time as my companion's. Furthermore, the quality of the food is not exceptional. The chicken thighs are too thin for my liking. I had a stomach incident at this Nando's, but I am unsure if it was caused by the food or something else. Despite living nearby, I will continue to frequent this Nando's, but overall it is not one of the better ones I have been to.

I was absolutely appalled by the food preparation, food quality, and cleanliness at Nando's Stroud Green today. I witnessed questionable chicken pieces being tossed into dirty oven vats and quickly grilled, resulting in undercooked grilled chicken. The staff seemed disorganized, with multiple employees handling plates of food that were left out in the open. The food prep area lacked any visible signs of hygiene control. Additionally, one of the barbecue staff had their pants hanging off, exposing their rear. Overall, it was a disgustingly gross experience from beginning to end.

This is, at least for an American, a rather different kind of chicken place. The chicken is chargrilled and the emphasis here is on spice with African and Portugese origins. The chicken was good but nothing exciting. I would say that it was a little drier than roasted. The cole slaw was average with a vinegar dressing. The spicy rice was indeed spicy and much like the Mexican type. This is a large chain that has found it's way in to Chicago, Atlanta, and Toronto. Let's hope they expand across North America. Went in the evening was met by an appalling man calling himself s manager . Was kept waiting for long time for food then some orders were wrong no apology nothing I’ve never met such rude bunch of workers sort it out nandos!

The staff at this restaurant had a very rude and disrespectful attitude, which was unpleasant especially coming from someone in customer service. I will not be returning here and strongly recommend others to dine elsewhere.
