directly on the road between freiburg and deadnau is the forest hotel. di strasse is quite busy and since we sat on the terrace in front of the building, we were surprised that it was really quiet. the service was friendly, the drinks were served quickly and also the first of the three eating was fast at the table. We enjoyed a 4 night stay at the hotel. Our familyroom was very clean and well equipped. The bathroom was recently renovated. We had half board; breakfastbuffet has plenty of choice, dinner menu is local and tastfull, always with some courses to choose from. The swimmingpool and wellness are very clean and modernised, we enjoyed it a lot. Greatest asset of this hotel are the staff; the staff at the reception were very friendly and helpfull, the staff in the restaurant/bar are friendly and observant. Staff was very accomodating towards our daughter (2y). Ideally located for walking or skiing (1 piste elevator across the hotel, Feldberg 20minute drive). Correct value for money!

Am thrilled. The accommodation was quiet, clean and absolutely sufficient in terms of space. There were no complaints in the bathroom either, apart from an effective light above the mirror. The view of the ski lifts opposite was great. Everything is beautifully powdered with snow. Almost perfect as a starting point for snow hikes, cross-country skiing or downhill runs. The staff is very friendly. Even in bad weather you have options with the wellness area or the large heated indoor pool. You can also book additional massage treatments. We were there for a few days for cross-country skiing. The cross-country ski trail starts directly at the hotel. Afterwards we enjoyed the great wellness area. The new swimming pool is beautiful. In general, the whole hotel exudes a pleasant calm. The food was excellent and the rooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. We had a Nordic flair room. We'd love to come back. Rooms: 5
