Nazar is hands down one of my favorite Turkish spots in NY! It’s both a restaurant and grocery store in one location, which is super convenient. My go-to is the mix grill—it’s packed with all their delicious meats like lamb chop, Adana kebab, and kofte. And the white rice? I could eat that by itself—it’s that good! They offer complimentary tea, which is perfect for winter days. After dining, you pay at the grocery cashier, which makes the whole experience unique. My 14 year old grandson loves to different types of food so when I went for a visit in February my son, grandson and I decided on Turkish food. He is game for anything new and tried the tripe soup and I think we finally found something he didn't like. We had the Lahmacum (meat pie) and it was ok. I had the Turkish pizza and again just ok. My grandson had the lamb kabob and he though it was good. He had the baklava for dessert and he bought it was delicious.
One of the worse restaurant when it come to service, they have 10 ppl working but none of them working, order a lamb which take 5 min to put, the guy in front just standing and not doing work, very very slow when it come to service , food is ok, only reason I come is come only turkish place around here but def not the best food and service , if you are willing to wait for half hour to just get a hummus then don’t bother, very slow Meal type: Lunch
The establishment has a restaurant and store together. The establishment is clean and spacious. The staff super friendly and welcoming. Still one of the better Turkish foods in the area; even though their prices went up as many places have.
