Nelson Cheese Deli

I reached out to Nelson's Cheese Deli in St. Paul for catering information while exploring caterers. Wayne was the only person I communicated with, and after my initial email, I did not send any further messages. Two days later, Wayne (an employee) arrived with an order I had not placed. I was shocked that he had placed an order without my consent and showed up at the address in my email signature. When I informed him that I would not be accepting the order, he was very disrespectful. I have never encountered a restaurant conducting business in this manner. Inquiring about catering services is not the same as placing an order, and showing up unannounced at someone's workplace is unsettling a...

The food at this restaurant is good. However, they need to remove misleading advertisements about their sandwiches with sprouts. I ordered a sandwich with sprouts listed as an ingredient, but when I got home and opened it, there were no sprouts. Customers should be informed if certain ingredients are not available or they should be removed from the menu.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. However, I was disappointed to find that the sandwich I ordered, which was supposed to come with sprouts according to the menu, did not actually have any sprouts on it. I suggest that the restaurant either inform customers when they are out of sprouts or remove it from their signage to avoid false advertising.

I absolutely loved the large sandwiches at this deli! The hot dogs were also delicious, especially the Chicago dog. The service was fantastic with very friendly staff. If I find myself back in the city, I would definitely return to this restaurant.

I had a tuna salad sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickles, olives, jalapenos, and Dijon mustard. The tuna salad portion was generous and it was absolutely delicious!
