While out for a day of coastal fishing, I stumbled upon this restaurant as I entered the harbor area. I decided to have breakfast there and was pleased to find that you order at the counter and then take a seat while your food is brought to you. I ordered a large fry and a latte, both of which were delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and I enjoyed my meal with a lovely view of the harbor. After fishing for a couple of hours, the rain started so I returned to the Neptune for some more food. I indulged in a delicious piece of cake and another latte, once again at a great price. Despite the restaurant being busy with local fishermen and others, the staff was very friendly...
Visit this hidden gem regular and love it! The fish n chips is the best in the area at a fraction of the price of everywhere else local, great view of kilkeel harbour and staff are very friendly and accommodating in every possible way, don't go by this place, try this place!
A great place hidden away by the harbour. Quick service, friendly staff, great value, good portions and delicious food. The fish and chips are very fresh and tasty and at around £6 it’s great value for money. I’ll definitely be back!
For the past two weeks, my partner and I have been enjoying the warm hospitality and tasty, affordable breakfasts at Neptune's Larder Cafe in Kilkeel. We highly recommend this cafe for both breakfast and lunch. David and Marian.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure in the harbour. The food is delicious and the service is always friendly. There are too many great dishes to pick just one favorite.
Excellent fresh haddock served in a light batter. Clean plates all round. Hidden away to side of harbour. Well worth a visit for breakfast or lunch
