New Golden Dragon Chinese

Hugely disappointed after reading positive reviews and deciding to visit based on these. Although we were promptly seated and our order taken, our meal took over an hour to arrive and when it did it portions were small ,unappetising and very salty. Gluggy rice, stir...fried veggies lacking variety (mostly green stalks,a few snow peas and a couple of tiny broccoli stalks) while the salt and pepper crab stir fry was a small serve of some battered pieces of crab extended with dried noodles and more fried batter minus the crab. No value for money as menu is more expensive than posted. You can do better in Bateman's Bay.

I have dined at the Golden Dragon for a number of years with friends and on my own The service is excellent and my favorite orders with my quirky adaptions to menu items are always remembered. The salt and pepper and chilli squid is equal...to any Chinese restaurant i have dined in in Sydney. My current favourite Mongolian beef is most delicious and outstanding. When the NSW government dining vouchers are issued please consider this restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

We had a lovely meal here, the waitress very friendly and prompt when asked for extra ice...the chilli in my dish was a bit too hot for me...my fault as I knew it had chilli in the dish ! It has a large menu with...meals to suit everyone. The wee spring rolls were crisp and FRESH. This restaurant also takes the dining vouchers...no problem when asked and then we noticed they have a notice on the front door saying vouchers welcome.

We had the Honey Black Pepper Fillet Steak, which was deliciously tender. The Chilli Salt and Pepper Squid was good, but the batter was a little thick; it may have been better in a tempura style. The fried dim sims were excellent. Service was good...and it’s BYO.

Typical Chinese Restaurant. Had a quiet ambience. Extensive menu which was a little pricey. Food was average. They had quite a lot of take away orders so we assumed that this place was well liked. Overall had an okay experience.
