Mothering Sunday meal for 6 plus dog! We all enjoyed splendid roasts. (4 beef, 1pork, 1 turkey) All cooked to perfection and in plentiful amounts. Charlie dog opted for the chicken from his menu! Everything was delicious and we had a most enjoyable time. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We love coming here and always have a good meal in lovely surroundings served by really nice staff. It was a first time visit for our daughter and her family and dog. They are very impressed. The Hare and Hounds states that it is dog friendly and it really is. Our canine friends are well catered for and treated like royalty! Great venue, great food, great staff and great value for money.
We've visited this restaurant twice in one week, and both times the meals were fresh, delicious, and thoroughly enjoyable. I appreciate that the portions are just right for one person, as I dislike food waste. The staff is very friendly, and the interior is cozy, comfortable, and warm, with a stunning view outside (definitely worth a visit in the summer). They are also dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. There's plenty of parking available as well. I highly recommend treating yourself to a meal here!
I visited this pub for the first time on a Sunday for lunch and found it to be a lovely, clean, and cozy place with friendly service. Our server was very accommodating and had no problem bringing us extra gravy. The lunch was delightful, although the dessert was a bit of a letdown; the Crème Brûlée resembled more of an egg custard, which was disappointing. However, this did not take away from the overall great experience. I will definitely return and be sure to try a different dessert next time.
My partner and I dined here for lunch on Monday, and it was a fantastic experience—definitely one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The pub is lovely, situated in a beautiful setting, and the staff were very friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was delightful as well. Additionally, we enjoyed a 50% discount on our main meal, which was a nice bonus. We will certainly be returning for lunch in the future.

nice pub and eat. my partner had an unexpected day trip and I decided to take it to lunch. we have booked a table online and arrived early to have a drink before the meal and enjoy the view from the beer garden. we then went to our meal, which was beautiful. all employees were pleasant and helpful. I really enjoyed my visit.
with my son stopped for lunch and sat outside, eating was really good and the service was fast and friendly, the look of the outside is really nice. toilets were nice and clean and the prices were above average for a pub, but was worth the stop.

Great pub, excellent service with a magnificent view of the hills sitting in the garden. Very clean toilets and wonderful location.
