I moved to the area about a year ago and have supported this place a couple of times a month. I have always found the food to be great… until today… I ordered 1 feta kebab, 2 x Halloumi kebabs and a lamb Shis kebab. When they arrived the portions were tiny, half the size of their usual portions. My kids finished their meals in 2 min and have had to make more food , as they said it was a ‘starter’ portion. The total meal cost £45 excluding delivery, which is £10+ per meal. I’m not expecting huge portions, just fair value for the money spent. Ordered our food today and it turned up missing a few bits. It was partially my fault but also there was a new chap that may have made a small mistake. The chap was very honest and we were patient with him, I did suspect that the order might have an issue. When it arrived and we noticed a few bits missing, the guys in the shop were excellent as always and I nipped up to get the missing items. I think this is a family owned shop and they are always happy to rectify any issues. People moaning that they live only 5 minutes away and expect their food immediately, need to realise that these guys run a business, doesn’t matter where you live, when you place an order, you’re put in a queue! We frequently order takeout from this restaurant because they never fail to impress. The shish kebabs are incredibly generous, loaded with flavorful meat, fresh salad, and a delicious sauce. The Haloumi addition was tasty as well. The feta and vegetable wrap was large and paired perfectly with the flavorful Turkish Bulgar. The chips from Istanbul Grill are always served in generous portions and have a nice crispy texture. Everything was ready in about 20 minutes. It's disappointing that they no longer offer pizzas, but they do have delicious burgers and a variety of sides. Our go-to choices are the breaded mushrooms and onion rings.
Ordered a chicken shish with no onions what so ever as my wife has serious allergic reaction to onions. When order arrived, both kebabs were full off onions. Tried to call back to get it sorted and it took over 50 attempts to get through. When I eventually got through I pointed out the seriousness of this and they offered a replacement which would take another 20 minutes wait and as long as I returned the kebab with onions back to them. I do hope they are not going to reuse the meat from it and serve to another customer. So if you have allergies then I would recommend not using Istanbul grill. Reserva una mesa ahora
The customer service at this restaurant was terrible – our order was 45 minutes late, we got lost because the address was wrong, part of our order was forgotten, and we were given the wrong food which was lukewarm/cold. This was our first time ordering from this restaurant and we will not be returning.
