New Shanghai Restaurant

I ate at This New Shanghai Restaurant last night Mar 30 -24. It was great I only had takeout egg rolls and chicken fried rice. The egg Rolls were great but prefer the wrapped type. They were filling and Chicken fried rice was of very generous portion and delicious . I will be back to try other Menu items soon . I have wanted to go there for a long time and glad I did. It was a clean and pleasant place while i waited a very short time to take the food out. The lady was very friendly and kind; asked me if I wanted to dine in . As far as the reviews that are bad about this place or the food; they are bogus. I figure they are all friends of Lee's as one referenced Lee's) and are just running dow...

Four of us was just in and had the dinner for 4 people, deep fried wontons and the wonton soup. The ginger beef was good have no complaints about that or any of the food. The lady was super nice and good to chat with. Everyone left with full belly’s. We will definitely come back again. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered for New Years and it was really dry, can hardly get through the ginger beef, chicken rice was bland, won tons awful. Dry ribs are disgusting and almost choked while eating. Guy taking payment was a little rude. We took our order home and won’t be back. Spring rolls seem to be from Costco. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner

Some of the best Chinese food we have had, definitely the best since moving to the Edmonton area 8 years ago. We did take out, nothing was soggy after a 15 minute drive. Food was very disappointing. Went by reviews on our way home from fishing. Ginger beef was chewy and sauce tasted moldy. Rice was dry. Family of 6 and nobody ate it. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
