The restaurants in Aigues Mortes are dominated by those who are offering more or less the same dishes. Fish or meat accompanied by some French fries. This can be very good (and is in fact not too bad here and there but is extremely boring...especially if you spend more than 3 days in the region. Fortunately the “Ni vu Ni connu” is quite different. Located on a boat close to the main entrance of the historical part of Aigues Mortes this restaurant is totally focused on shellfish. The platter for two (49 € with oysters, mussels, clams, conches and crab was a good choice.

arrive without reservation and wait 10 minutes for a menu suggested a long evening with water view. 5 minutes later, a cold seafood tray for 2 and a crispy pink Montcalm assured that it was a long and very pleasant evening with the walls of the city to the right, the full moon above and the excellent oysters, shrimps, mussels, snails and a very big and tasty crab in front of a water background. It is worth 65 € of our hard-earned money. I'd go back there without hesitation if I came back to that part.
This is a restaurant on a barge just next to the old town. Absolutely georgius surrounding, really cool. Sevice very friendly and cooperative. The trouble is they do not speak more than 5 words in English... but friendliness is just fine to get your order...in place, no worries. Food is great! we visited this restaurant 2 times during our visit to aigues mortes and had an excellent experience each time. the oysters from the camargue are excellent and the other husks, some of which are fished by the owner. the service is excellent...with an efficient and friendly young staff. the menu is limited to mushes.
we read reviews and decided to try it , beyond amazing , Owner is actually the fisherman as well , Oysters, tallerines and linguine w/ clams were out of this world . Even our son wanted more . Service and Food a 5 star for...quality and freshness , price was even more reasonable... must see and a hidden gem .
The concept of this restaurant, that is conveniently and nicely located right outside the city walls, is: kitchen on the boat, dinning on land. The focus is clearly on FRESH fish and seafood dishes. during dinner you can watch some old b/w movie footage on...a big screen over the water. Worth every penny ! Reserva una mesa ahora
great eating in this quirky restaurant. it is shellfish, so no real fish dishes, but the Sharing plate is amazing with oysters, muddles, crumbs, garnel and many other shellfish at €49 for two. pasta with muscheln also very delicious. friendly staff and a fun location.
