This was a quick lunch and we had the schnitzel with fries and it comes with a big salad. It was very tasty, but the salad was swimming in dressing and dressing was not particularly nice. We sat outside because tables are along the shopping street and the service was very friendly the total bill was about €30 which was perfectly fine it's a good central location and I would recommend to visitors to get a traditional German meal. Perhaps you could say the menu does not offer the most biggest of choice that's my only thing to say for feedback
Traditional interior and simple but tasty food. One really doesn’t need more for a dinner and chat with friends. This place also offers a small but nice choice of local beer. Salad which is served with dishes is exceptional. Stuff is friendly and polite, but they do struggle a bit with English. If you are looking for a place to have a dinner with friends in Bensheim city center, this is one of the best choices available.
This restaurant is nicely decorated and cosy. The service was friendly and fast. We had asparagus in a pancake and asparagus with smoked salmon. Both very good. For desert we shared an apple pie, just delicious. With two espressos and two glasses of good local...white wine the bill was just under euros. A very good price/quality. A very good place just in the center of the old town!
The restaurant offers daily specialities with very nice side dishes. The quality of food and cooking is good, prices are reasonable, and service is very good. Salads are super nice. Toilets are always clean. Daily specialities are mostly for lunch and mostly not available for...dinner as they only serve for certain amounts per day. English menu is available.

We sat outside on a nice summers day and enjoyed our various drinks, with schnitzel, and salad. For each person it was €10 ahead and we thought that was great value for the quality we received. Will definitely return, and have been here now about four times. It is in a great place in terms of position along the main shopping street in Bensheim.
A large bar restaurant in Bensheim which is used by various groups as a meeting place. The food is typical German and mainly from a buffet which means it can appear a little "tired" after some hours. Quite popular at lunchtimes as they always offer a lunchtime special.
Great to sit outside on a sunny day and let the locals and visitors parade past you. Drinks come always lightning fast. The waiters are always good for a chat as well. Don't underestimate the food, good portion size and good quality. Always worthwhile to...stop.
An ok place to go, but not more. Looks really traditional, the waitresses wear dirndls; but the choice of German dishes is a bit poor, the menu is quite short. Do not expect anything sophisticated from this place.

THis was our first meal in Bensheim and was enjoyable. WE tried to get there for a second one but were not allowed to sit inside with our poodle dog (it was windy abnd rainy outside)
It is OK, not an Italian way :) But the service was very good and the surrounding cosy. Little bit mix up with the order ;)
