Nick's - Reserva de mesa

After being rushed into a seat down the side of the restaurant we were left to go through our menus. During this time we discovered that the table had food stuck on it from previous dinners and that the table top was wobbly. Decided on the seafood platter for two and 1 glass of wine. We were very disappointed. The "salad" was not only minimal but also contained browned and rotten leaves, the Thai oysters tasted like they were just smothered in bbq sauce, what I believe was suppose to be sautéed muscles/scallops and prawns were cold and lacking flavor and the "King prawns" were smaller than the bait we'd been using all day before hand. The place was buzzing on Saturday night. We were seated & served quickly. My 3 companions had chicken schnitzel topped with prawns in creamy garlic sauce they all agreed the schnitzel was crisp & moist and the best they'd ever eaten. I had rice noodles with prawns and it was delicious. My companions who work in a neighboring town will be back, and so will we next time we visit Lakes.

We are Lakes Entrance Locals, and if we want to have a meal out, we go to Nick's. There were 6 of us tonight, all ordering different dishes, and all very happy with our meals. Service is always excellent. The place was almost full tonight, so recommend that you book ahead, especially in holiday times. Nick's is a great place to go. Check it out when you are in Lakes next.

Had lunch there first, I had Pad Thai, not too hot was lovely, partner had fish & chips. Our last night in Lakes we went again, had 1/2 a doz. oysters kilpatrick, yummo, I had seafood stir fry, was yummy, alas no calamari but plenty of scallops. Casual dining with great menu. Friendly staff. BYO wine which is a plus! Usual Thai curries plus Parma, fish & chips If you like your curries hot & spicy ask for HOT. Inexpensive menu; breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Great place! Had dinner the night before and breakfast the next day. Yummy food, good service and very friendly staff. Will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Well I have to admit that we were surprised by the fantastic food and service. Our waiter went out of his way to make our meal enjoyable.
