Nightfly's American Bar

We've tried several American Bars in Vienna and this one is probably our favorite (so far). In Vienna, American Bar means cocktail bar. This one has a great mid century American vibe and a nice mix of music. Staff was helpful and friendly and cocktails...were excellent. There is a closed off non smoking section, but if you are really sensitive it may still be too much (that's Vienna). We arrived around on a Saturday night and had no problem finding a seat, although it filled up quickly. Lively, but able to hold a conversation. I think there is a live piano player some nights. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a nightcap after a day trawling the city, and enjoyed a very fine whisky or two at the bar. The place is small and compact with a bustling crowd, smoky but not overly so, and the drinks selection is awesome with everything...served with care and expertise. The best part for me was watching the guy behind the bar putting cocktails together, he was like a machine.

This is an Austrian version of an American bar. It leans towards the New York version, not a bad thing, just very East coast. Americans will be shocked at the smoking, but it just adds to the old school charm. Sit back, enjoy a fine...cocktail or spend some time with the extensive list of Whiskey. Cool joint.

A variety of good whiskies and bourbons. I enjoyed one smoky Scottish whisky together with a cigar! The music was good and not loud so, customers were discussing while enjoying food or drink. If you don't know what drink you need ask the owner to...prepare something based on your mood.

Nice club, nice music, nice atmosphere, awesome cocktails... Zoe with her wise adivises knew how to make this experience even more pleasable; Gerhald, the owner, sure knows how to to mix the drinks... Highly recommended!!!
