Took my friend here for her birthday this week. I asked for hot sauce and the waitress brought some. The one she brought was empty so I let her know and she brought a different hot sauce. I love spice and can handle quite a bit, but whatever she gave me made me think I was not going to be ok! It took me probably 15-20 mins to cool off. I feel like she definitely should’ve gone for a standard hot sauce before handing out something like that when she had no idea what it was. My friend looked it up and supposedly it contains one of the hottest peppers in the world…honestly it was such an unpleasant experience that I wish we had gone elsewhere unfortunately .
My friends and I were searching for a new restaurant to try in downtown Glen Ellyn when we stumbled upon Nobel House. We were delighted to discover this gem, with its stunning interior. However, on this fine evening, we opted to dine on the outdoor patio, which provided a lovely setting for our meal. The service was exceptional, with our server checking on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. The menu featured a wide variety of BBQ dishes, but there were also plenty of other options for those not craving BBQ. The food was delicious and left us thoroughly satisfied.
The five stars is for their french toast. Holy moly that french toast was amazing. Do you know that after my husband and I shared a regular order of french toast, I ordered a kids portion at the end just because of how good it was. But everyone enjoyed their food when we went. Husband said the burger was very good and my wings were really tasty too. They have this deep Smokey taste to them which was great. Definitely will be returning, more than likely on the weekend because I think they only open at 4pm during the week.
First off, the food is 5-star all the way.What's new at Nobel is that there is 3% credit card fee added to each bill- which I was not made aware of when I ordered. When I asked the server about this when I got the check, I was told that the credit card companies charge huge annual fees to merchants; and instead of raising food prices they opted to charge this fee to offset expenses.Therefore moving forward there are two options: bring enough cash to cover the bill or dine elsewhere.

I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. Met a friend for lunch and we tried a variety of dishes, all of which were deliciously seasoned. I personally enjoy bold flavors, so I appreciated the extra seasoning. The bartender was friendly and the service overall was excellent. The restaurant has a nice open and spacious atmosphere. I will definitely be returning in the future! Food rating: 4/5.
This downtown Glen Ellyn restaurant is a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a drink. We happened to be biking that day and found it conveniently located near the Prairie Path. The food was top-notch, receiving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.
The food was very bland. I got the Carolina pulled pork sandwich and there was no bbq sauce on it and the onion rings were not salted or seasoned. The beers were good. I think it's only popular because of the size and location.
