The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was pricey, but it arrived quickly. Although the portions were small, the focus was on quality and freshness. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful. The beef brisket had a strong flavor and was very tender. The Guinea-Fowl was also delicious with bold aromas. The polenta served with it was disappointing, but I believe it would work better with a stronger meat like rabbit. The dessert I had wasn't to my liking, but it served as a good palate cleanser. The prices for the main dishes and starters were high, but I didn't feel like I was overcharged for the experience. The sides and drinks were decent and the prices reflected the quality...
As a Leith resident, Nobles has always been a go to place for me for Brunch over the last 10 years. Unfortunately, after the last couple of visits I’ve decided I won’t be back. The full cooked breakfast is now up to £14.50 which...is excessive. On two separate occasions now I have ordered a version of Eggs Benedict and left feeling like I wish I hadn’t. Chewy, under toasted muffin, luke warm hollandaise sauce and over cooked poached eggs. I have had much better quality at home. I’ve also on multiple occasions felt as though the service from some of the staff was a bit of an effort. My days of Nobles being my number 1 brunch venue are over.
my man and I visited Saturday, May 14th for dinner on the back of a recommendation from friends. we received a warm greeting when entering and had a nice table after the window. the ordered appetizers and main thing and eating was very tasty and attentive service throughout....The atmosphere was nice and the place was busy, but efficient and smooth operation of the service! needed the damentoilets that were very clean and beautiful, which is not always the case for some pubs/restaurants! we will definitely be back and recommend others. btw, the bill was very reasonable considering that all food and drinks consumed! Thanks again.
as a local of north edinburgh I often feed myself in leith and in the city center. this is the first time that we have eaten in nobles in a few years. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good a experience as it was earlier....£17.50 for fish and chips makes it the most expensive in the city. for a small fish and handful of chips and a few spoons of acidified heaps, it makes itself a total tear. I get the feeling that this bar takes advantage of the many tourist in the opposite and no longer after the local. for the money there are far better places to eat near.

My family and I stopped in Nobles. It was much changed from when I’d been in years ago. And it’s evolved for the better. In keeping with the maritime theme of its Leith location there’s a lot of nautical touches to proceedings. Not only that...but the stain glasses windows give it a unique charm. The bar is massive and the staff man it well, buzzing around without looking like they’d rather be elsewhere. All backed by a laid back jazz soundtrack. It’s a change for the better.
What an amazing place. The brunch menu was so good with fantastic vegetarian options as well as meat. I had the borlotti beans and couldn't fault it. The kids had the Nobel burger which they devoured. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Nothing was...too much effort. Can't wait to come back to Edinburgh to eat here again.
We enjoyed a swift lunch at Nobles and were highly impressed with both the quality of the food and the exceptional service. Our meals arrived promptly, were piping hot, and surpassed our expectations. We would definitely recommend this place, especially once the tram lines are up and running.
Always great food and good service. We are quite the regular customers here . Excellent selection of ales and beers. Particular note is Leith Juice. Of course a local brew ! Great ambience with a superb soundtrack. Lovely detailing internally.

The dining experience was average. I have been here three times before and each time the food was fantastic, but on this visit, something was lacking. Perhaps the staff was short-staffed?
