Nobu Newport Beach

My husband and I went for a date on a Thursday evening in January. We were seated right off the water and had a lovely view (I worried it would be too dark to see anything but it was all quite visible). We were seated between two heat lamps so the temperature was pleasant. We had planned to go with one of the omakase options, but after our server Tina mentioned that she could do a more customized table side service where we could set the price (we opted for $450 total) she gave us a more specialized set of food items that we appreciated. The food was tasty overall with beautiful presentation. Our favorite was the toro and truffle dish (super savory, but may not be worth the $100 price tag)....

wow! every bite we said omg. I come every year after newport beach for a girl week (only 2 of us) and have nobu never tried. To be honest, I thought it couldn't be worth the whole hype. it surpassed our expectations of food and service far exceeded. we went to happy hour and ordered almost everything on this menu and a few dinges on the menu. The yellow **** jalapeno, sea bass tacos, salmon dry fog, salmon avocado handroll, crispy rice cake, Oysters,Tiradito and bento box for desert. some of these things we ordered were so good. ryan the manager has checked us and gave us great recommendations and the staff was the absolute best. we felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant they took...

I dined this evening with a friend and we had quite an exceptional experience. The service we received was splendid and our server, Ploy, was so attentive! We also enjoyed chatting with the GM, John. Knowledgeable and charming, he and the staff made our night. And the food! Incredibly fresh, delicious and beautifully presented!! I enjoyed such wonderful flavors and can’t wait to share this restaurant with my family.

We were here to celebrate 3 birthdays and had a great time. I can't name any of the dishes in the pictures but everything was fresh, tasty, and amazing. The service was excellent and the drinks were great.

Experience of a lifetime.. definitely must try at least once. You can order a tasting menu that is made specifically for you and its an amazing experience and great quality.
