TL:DR It was fine, but no traditional Sicilian slices. Went in to get some take out on the way home from work. It wasn 't too busy, so I could go right up to the counter. When I asked about getting a slice of Sicilian, they told me they don 't make it they make something called Nonna 's Classic pie. So I got a slice of that, and a slice of plain pizza. If you pay cash, they don 't charge you tax. If you pay with a card, they charge you tax, and a credit card fee. Which is kind of ... weird. The plain slice of pizza was good. We ordered the family dinner special, which included calamari, a garden salad, and cheese pizza. The calamari was coated in cornmeal but unfortunately turned out to be quite dry and tough, making it hard to enjoy, and I could barely taste the calamari itself. The garden salad was decent, although it could benefit from more vegetables instead of just lettuce. The pizza was served without wax paper between it and the box, which was a bit disappointing. However, I was pleased to find that the crust was thin, reminiscent of the pizzas I enjoyed while living in Rome. This restaurant is exceptionally clean and has a friendly atmosphere! The waitress provided service that rivaled some of the servers at high-end Manhattan restaurants. Nonna Vita's is one of the few places that truly delivers on quality. Their food is outstanding! I've ordered from them several times and I've never been let down. Their salads and soups are particularly tasty!
