I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and a sunny afternoon put me in the neighbourhood for lunch at this Tibetan Hakka place.<br/ <br/ The mango lassi , was simply delicious, velvety and not too sweet.<br/ We ordered from their lunch specials menu:<br/ *Thali South Asian style combo meal) with mutton curry the poori bread) was puffed to perfection, light and airy. The dal was a little on the plain side, but delicious none the less. The mutton curry was delightful, full of rich flavours. The accompanying pickle and slaw were refreshing and went so well with the dishes.<br/ $8.99)<br/ *Phingsha Combo came with a bowl of hot sour soup, not too salty and loaded with vegetab...

Norling is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. I'm currently living elsewhere, and it's one of my first stops when I'm back in town. It's a favourite place to bring friends and family when I want to share something really wonderful with them. The food is like nothing I've had elsewhere spicy but balanced and complex. The gyuma and tsey khatsa are my two favourite dishes. Gyuma is a blood sausage served in a delicious mixture of spices, onion and hot peppers. Tsey khatsa is a dish of vegetable fritters, a bit like pakora, served in a fantastic spicy sauce. We always get an order of tingmo (steamed buns) to sop up the extra sauce. It's also great served with the chilly pork ordered dry...

On our first visit, I thought I could handle the spice level. Unfortunately, I mistakenly bit into what I believed was a green bean, only to discover it was a slender hot pepper! I was in distress and desperately needed water. The waiter, who was incredibly attentive and caring, noticed and brought out a generous bowl of yogurt on the house to help me cool down. During our second visit, we were pleasantly surprised to have the same waiter again. His kindness shone through once more; at one point, he even checked in with my boyfriend about an old cut on his arm, offering to get him a first aid kit if needed. I can't praise the service here enough. Although I was initially unfamiliar with so...

As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed, which is characteristic of Tibetan hospitality. We asked the owner for recommendations, and he suggested the following dishes: - Pan-fried chicken momos, a Tibetan take on dumplings - Stir-fried cauliflower with spicy salt, a Hakka classic - Dry chili chicken, also Hakka - Norling House Fried Rice, essentially the Tibetan version of Chinese Yangzhou fried rice, but made with basmati instead of long-grained rice. Each dish was rich in flavor and spice. If you're not a fan of spicy food, be warned! There was a genuine sense of care when our food was served, and you could really feel the love that went into cooking. I will definitely return to... Reserva una mesa ahora

Another cool Tibetan place in Parkdale! They serve the cuisine of their homeland by way of India (where they picked up some Indian/Chinese Hakka cooking). The place is nicer than most in the 'hood and feels cozy and welcoming. The food is fresh-made (be prepared to wait, at least on weekends), spicy, tasty and affordably priced. The soft steamed bun/roll called tingmo is superb and pairs well with their spicy curries. Bon apetit!

This was my first experience with Tibetan cuisine, and I loved it! They offer a fantastic lunch menu with numerous options available for under $10. The momos (dumplings) have quickly become my new favorite dish! The Manchurian chicken was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try more of their menu in the near future!

Courteous staff. I tried the vegetarian momo and it was delicious. I love how minced the filling was. I also tried the tibetan noodle soup and that was memorializing. The Tibetan-pulled wide noodles tasted like momo skin dough cooked in broth (so tasted like pasta). But the noodle soup was delicious nonetheless.

I went with my wife and boy's. It was a very pleasant experience. The food was amazing the service was fine. The decor was dated, but we went to eat not look... I found this place using a search tool and the one review seemed sincere... So we went for it... No Regrets whatsoever. Reserva una mesa ahora
