I’m a regular at Norms Restaurants and usually have a great experience with good food, but this time there were some issues. I ordered the Sampler Platter, expecting the usual, but when I got home, I found only two full onion rings and the rest were just small pieces, which was disappointing. The menu stated it would come with cocktail sauce, ranch, honey mustard, and marinara, but I only received marinara. My second order was the porterhouse steak with shrimp, assuming the shrimp would be included, but I didn’t get any shrimp at all, even though I paid for it. While my mother and I were in the city, we stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a Sizzler after visiting a Steak House, which is no longer in business. When we spotted NORMS, we decided to give it a try since we hadn't been to one before, as there aren't any in our area of Lancaster or Palmdale. I ordered a burger and fries, which were both very good. The portion of fries was just right—not too much and not too little. I also really enjoyed her salted caramel-flavored hot coffee. On another day, we visited a second location in Van Nuys, thinking we could use some discounts, but we were a day too early. This location turned out to be better because it was quieter.
We visited Norms Restaurants at 4 a.m. on 9/17/22, and Kevin was our server. He was incredibly talented—so friendly, genuinely warm, and really funny. It’s been a while since we experienced service this great. Since we were the only customers, he was exceptionally attentive. We’ll definitely be returning, hopefully at 4 a.m. again. Thank you, Kevin—you’re truly amazing.
Finally, Norms Restaurants got my takeout just right! I love their food and enjoy bringing it home. Personally, I prefer ordering pickup over delivery since it’s much faster to pick it up myself. I ordered the fried shrimp and it was fantastic. The loaded baked potato was decent, but there’s room for improvement. The menu offers a great variety to choose from.

Can always count on Norm's for good food and service. My wife's T-bone steak was even better than anticipated and the Bigger Better Breakfast is an excellent value. I love that the hash browns are not at all greasy like some other places. We prefer the Pico Rivera location so we drive the extra 10 miles.
Food is always pretty good. Larger portions than the other chain diners at comparable prices. Service can be hit or miss, depends on how busy it is. I usually do avoid on weekends though, long wait time and food can obviously take longer to get. Go during the week and avoid the crowd if you can?
One of my favorite spots for breakfast. The servers were friendly and attentive. They’ve updated their menu with several Birria dishes, which are absolutely delicious. I loved it! The place was busy when I visited, but the wait was short. There’s always plenty of parking. Thank you!
Generous portion sizes. Visited during late-night hours and noticed there was only one cook and three servers, so if you're coming with a large group, be prepared for some wait time as the staff is limited. The food was tasty and the prices are very reasonable.
