Sat at the bar for dinner. Service was great and the place was busy. Tried the armadillo eggs as an app. They were 6 halves served on a skewer and they looked so pathetic for a presentation. First off, they are not bacon wrapped. One half of what resembled what was supposed to be bacon, was instead a complete soggy half slice of bacon fat tooth picked to the half jalapeno. All of them were the same, a half slice of bacon fat. Removing the fat, left a flavorless cream cheese mush. It was like a bell pepper with cream cheese, a few sprinkles of shredded cheddar and some flakes of green speckles. I had a bite of a second one just to see if I got an overly mild jalapeno. I refused the remainder...
I ordered the catfish bites and the Nashville combo platter, which included brisket and a half rack of St. Louis ribs. Unfortunately, the brisket was very dry, making it difficult to enjoy, and the ribs seemed like they had been sitting in a warmer all day. Surprisingly, the brisket had more flavor and smokiness compared to the ribs. The ribs lacked flavor and were dry as well. Catfish bites was good. The only positive highlight was my server who did an excellent job checking up on me. I cannot recommend this place if you're looking for a good smokehouse restaurant.
The location in a strip mall is the only negative. If you want to overlook water or the State Capitol, not your jam. If you like personality in the staff and convenient parking well get your guitar. Food is legit Texas smoke house. This place surprised me. My smoke prime rib hit a the right notes. What’s up with the music theme? They played some good ole’ country loud enough you could hear it. This is what Texas Roadhouse could be. $5 old fashions. Mac Cheese was ok but my salad hit most notes. Solid play.
OMG!!! We ordered the Austin combo to share with a side of the shrimp. The brisket, pulled pork and back ribs are freaking amazing!! I was literally moaning while eating. No sauce needed cause the flavor is that good! But a little sweet BBQ sauce gives that little something extra. The mac n cheese and the smokehouse beans are equally delicious!! Gilles was our waiter and he was also fantastic!! Definitely will be back!

Large free parking lot. Very good daily specials including today's lunch Wednesdays tasty buy one get one pork sandwich with fries as a good value. Also a very good catfish at noon meal. Booth and tables with excellent full service (order at table, food brought to table, bus staff cleans up afterwards). Parking: Large free recently resurfaced parking lot many other restaurants and establishments in this small mall.
it was our first time here..Food was delicious..we had the fried pickles as an appitizer...my husband had the ahi tuna salad and I ordered the shrimp..you can pick to have your shrimp different ways..I went with the scampi style and breaded..I loved how light the breading was..delicious..and every dinner comes with a choice of two sides..definitely worth the money..
We gave the atmosphere a 3-Star simply because it was very busy when we were there which meant quite noisy. It was impossible for our hearing-impaired member to hear any of the conversation at our table.
Amazing food and kind people. Highly recommend the cheese curds, firecracker shrimp, and burnt ends.
