For New Years we made reservations for a 5 course set menu, most of which was a choice of 2 on each course. The food was very good, especially the risoto!! The consistency and subtlety of rich flavors really hit the mark!! Although, portions were small, I was sated by the end of the meal--so it ended up being a good amount. The problem was the service, a series of impactful misteps by our waitress was very frustrating. The biggest isssue--a lack of attention focus led to my wife not getting her entree for an inexcusable amount of time. The food was underwhelming, although the service was quite commendable. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller, the daily crudo (a salmon rice cake dish), haddock chowder, and biscuits. The oysters Rockefeller were decent but nothing special. The daily crudo had a strong fishy taste and didn’t taste fresh. The haddock chowder also had an off-putting fishy flavor, was somewhat watery, and felt like the cream was scorched during preparation. As for the biscuits, they were dense and honestly, you could find a better biscuit for less money at Popeyes. Absolutely amazing food!!! The fried chicken sandwich is phenomenal, and the burger, steak frites, crab toast are excellent! Their specials are always changing and intriguing, and it's great to have a place with a varied selection of oysters on the half shell. The only room for improvement lies in the service time... they often only have one waitress to manage the dining room, and one bartender. Of course, these days it is very difficult to find staff who want to work and will show up, so getting more help out front is no easy task. Longer than usual service times are only an issue if the dining room is absolutely full. I plan to keep coming back here frequently!!

Excellent menu, with a wide array of options for both appetite and dietary restrictions. The menu we enjoyed was Asian and Italian influenced, but seafood centric. I was thoroughly impressed with both the service and the food. We visited to celebrate our first anniversary, and it was an exceptional experience. We ordered the crab toast, fish tacos, and Asian-style fried Brussels sprouts, and everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation if you want to experience it for yourself!
This is one of those places where I would give six stars if I could. North Beacon Oyster has to be great- and it is- if they can afford to be open only four days during the week. The food and service here is absolutely outstanding. We had a variety of oysters and they were all fantastically fresh and tasty. Everything we had was wonderful. Highly recommended.
We went here for the first time a couple weeks ago, and the food was the best we've ever had! So my husband and I just had anniversary dinner there tonight! Food is incredible! My husband and I had dinner here last weekend and it is absolutely a cannot miss for dining if you are visiting Rockland (make sure to get a reservation! .
