I guess it's time to update this review. It took a substantial amount of time for them to fully transition from Allina to North Memorial, but it seems the bugs have been pretty much worked out. Then, of course, my regular Doctor (Keane) went out with his own medical issues and I knew I would have a difficult time finding someone who cares as much as he did. Fortunately, I got hooked up with a PA C (Josephine Hiti) who was been absolutely exceptional in treating me while Dr. Keane is out. So, I can safely recommend this clinic to others in need of care. I give this clinic 5 Stars solely because of the amazing PA- Danielle Nelson. My doctor retired from there a few years back and I was so worried about finding another great doctor until my 1st appointment with Danielle. My husband also sees her now and loves her. She is personable, caring and very thorough!! She genuinely listens to your health issues, even taking notes, she is proactive in trying to find and treat the issues. She takes her time with her patients. She explains thing very thoroughly and is vastly knowledgeable. If she doesn't know something or have an answer she will steer you to someone who does. I called to make an appointment for my husband today, and the woman on the phone was extremely rude. I explained that he works nights, but she kept insisting, "We're open 24/7; he can call anytime," repeating this four times after I had already been on hold for 15 minutes. Frustrated, I finally said, "You know what, I'll call somewhere else. Thank you!" It seemed like they weren’t interested in helping today. If I could give them a zero rating, I definitely would. I really wish I had observed how the doctors treated patients, as the customer service was absolutely terrible.
This review is strictly about the check in process. I arrived 20 minutes prior to appointment and I was told at the desk that they only will check in 5 minutes prior to appointment. Ok why wasn't I told that when I made the appointment? Ok, then I was told I had to sit in the lobby, not the waiting room that is as big as a parking lot but, the lobby. Waited until 5 minutes prior to check in, now the line to check in is 6 people deep. Extremely rude receptionist.
I give this 5 stars because of Dr. Bailey. He has been my GP for years. He is always patient, caring and takes time to listen to your concerns and answer questions. I don't care for the changes since NM took over, but stay because I appreciate having a great doctor I can trust. I also give kudos to his nurse Jody who is also kind and personable. Really have been satisfied with this clinic, before and after COVID. Efficient, professional, and pleasant. Using Mychart and promptness of response, make an all around good experience.
