I have been going to Northshack since they first opened when I was still a kid living at my parents home in Shelby Twp. Now I'm 54 live in Holly and still go there when I get out that way which was last week. The chicken, potatoes coleslaw is still fantastic and only waited about 10 minutes for my bucket. The prices are higher but still worth it. One of the few places that boasts their chick in lieu of frying it. Their barbecue sauce is awesome too. I highly recommend this place. It was also very clean had alot of employees working together so the wait was minimal for being a walkin customer.
It really makes me so sad to even write this review but they have just gone down hill. The short lady who has worked there forever may even be the owner is so rude. They don’t care about customer service. It’s only about the money now. I have been visiting this restaurant since I was a kid. The food was always so good. I still can’t complain about the taste. The portions are so small now when you order a dinner. Potatoes are cheap why are we being so stingy? I understand having to raise prices but you shouldn’t have a decline in quality all around if you do.
I really like the food my only complaint is northshack over charge me for two wings dinners. There menu shows one wing dig dinner for 10.40 per dinner I ordered 2 dinners and they charge me 38.36 and a pint of cold slaw 5.75 plus tax 2.65 for a TTL of 46.76. North shack got about a 20 dollar tip, according to my receipt my total was 46.76. So that means I paid 19.18 for one dinner. I didn’t realize it until I got home the restaurant closed before I got home. So tomorrow I will call them and ask about the bill
First time patron. Ran across this place while driving on Dequindre. Chicken was freshly cooked and really good. Barbecue ribs were good as well. Puts you in mind of Chicken Shack but better. Food prices are average, but the food is worth it. Will definitely be back.

Moved nearby the area and north shack is our go to food to fill our cravings ! From day 1 the place has been great food always fresh the coleslaw is our absolute favorite
This place has been around for a long time. Everything is so delicious and the staff are always so friendly. Best chicken place around town hands down .
this is one of my favorite chicken restaurants. Wing ding dinner (8 pcs) with broasted patatoes is the best choice.

I only posted 4 stars because I think their boasted potatoes used to be better. They were a little dry.
Good food. Big portions. Worth the drive. Give it a try if you haven't been there.
