I hadn't eaten any northern lights in many, many years. To be brutally honest, I only tried this time because Pizza Hut was not in this moderate snowstorm. I was pleasantly surprised about their delivery time and pizza quality. First, the customer said it would take about 90 minutes. I thought good, but maybe I'd be lucky. We were lucky with the delivery and the pizza itself. A piping hot, okay, very warm pizza, was here in about 45 minutes. The driver was polite, so I tipped him about 25% to a very cold night that reminds of a STAY HOME UNLESS you don't have at NIGHT. The big sausage pizza wasn't that big, but it was very good. Even my formal spouse enjoyed it. The crust was crispy, but but...
Consistent Customer For 10+ years, The “Lights” are always spectacular, and the KIND-ness of the staff is second to none. The flavoring of the crust is just the latest “exploration” (taste adventure) that I’ve delved into. Garlic Parmesan makes them 1/1 so far in the “popping flavors” category. Needless to say the “one” so far has remained constant inasmuch as nary a thing has changed in at least a month with my pizza order, ie: .. yep, I’ve been stuck on “YUM”, aside from the toppings .. where I struck Gold with my venture into Canadian Bacon/Ham and Sauerkraut territory. Yep, another A+! Although I almost always order the “carry out”, this place, Consistently DELIVERS the JackPoT
Northern Lights offers the best pizza in Des Moines! I tried the taco pizza with a thin crust, and it was fantastic. We love having the toppings on the side; this way, the lettuce stays crisp and cold when we get home instead of getting soggy. Who wants warm salads and tomatoes? I can’t believe more people haven’t discovered this place. Whether you choose carry-out or delivery, no one does it better than Northern Lights!
I’ve had a fantastic experience every time I visit this restaurant. During my first visit, the manager noticed that I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of the Taco pack we received, so he generously offered us extra to ensure we had enough. He genuinely wanted us to be happy and encouraged us to return. Everything we tried was delicious, and even my husband and kids fell in love with the breadsticks! Reserva una mesa ahora
Experience was expected better. Did not order from Northern Lights in, literally, years because of two sub par experiences in a series in the quality of food. My daughter even ate the (garish) crust of her pizza she never did. The foundation has improved considerably. Will definitely be a returning customer.
