Inside, there were plenty of seats for customers to dine in, but the place had a somewhat worn-down appearance that wasn’t very inviting. However, the delicious aroma drew me in. It’s not easy to find a good bagel shop on Long Island that makes breakfast to order without being a full restaurant or diner.
I ordered home fries, made myself some tea, and grabbed an orange juice for the road. The service was quick and the prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, when I got to work and took my first bite, I discovered that the home fries were hard and undercooked. They had good seasoning, but the texture ruined what could have been an enjoyable dish.

The next time I visited, there were two people ahead of me, and about 3-4 staff members were working. They took the two orders ahead of me, and I stood there waiting for 10-15 minutes without anyone acknowledging my presence. The food was decent, though.
Most recently, I faced a similar situation where I waited for 15-20 minutes without any acknowledgment before I decided to walk out. I won't be returning. The hot food gets a 6/10 from me, and the bagels are just mediocre. Overall, the customer service is a complete disaster.
1) It cost $7, which I think is way too expensive.
2) The flavor was not enjoyable at all.
3) Today was Wednesday, and the special was bagels for just 65 cents. So why did I get charged $7 for a 65-cent bagel and a tuna that didn't taste good?
Overall, I was left frustrated and won’t be coming back.
I regret to say that the bagels were quite disappointing. You could find a better one at Stop and Shop. The coffee was served at room temperature. I only managed to eat a small portion of the bagel before I decided to throw the rest, along with the coffee, in the trash.

The food and bagels are great but the two woman who work the counter are incompetent. It’s near impossible to get your order correct and when you bring it to their attention you get out at the back of line . Waiting over 30min for BEC is unreal.
My daughter and I visit this restaurant every time and it deserves a 5-star rating. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is fantastic.
Breakfast sandwiches are so good and tasty but the place is not as clean as it should be.5 star for the food4 star because of cleanliness
