Not Your Average Joe's Waltham

We were visiting Waltham and this restaurant had been suggested to us. It was our first visit and we loved everything about it. Service was great. Food was wonderful. My husband had the Reuben (a St. Patrick's Day add to the menu) and said it was the best he'd ever had. We both enjoyed the clam chowder which as thick and creamy, served piping hot. (In truth, it was not as good as Legal Sea Food's clam chowder but then, whose is)? but is something we would definitely order again. I had the chicken caesar salad and the chicken was very generous, the lettuce so very fresh. All in all, this will be a must stop during our regular visits to Waltham or wherever we see this chain elsewhere.

My fellow patrons had the haddock which they said was good, my daughter had the chicken piccata which she said had way too much butter, it was good but less butter. I ordered the Basic hamburger which resembled a hockey puck with a bun that had soaked up a great deal of grease thus making it unedible and it was finished with a pile of French fries that tasted like they had been cooked 4 hours previously. Service is great but food has a ways to go. You may want to check out Jack n Joes right across from it. Wouldn’t go back again

Our server was really excellent and the atmosphere is very elevated from other not your average Joe’s. It’s really lovely seeing the fire pit outside even from inside. It was a very festive atmosphere and good music and we just had a really great time. Always love the birthday experience here!

good variety in menu. family of 4 with appetizer and adult drinks for 2, bill came just over $100. not bad.
